New 'brand' coming

Prudential Network Realty has announced that Berkshire Hathaway has partnered with its parent company, Brookfield Residential Property Services (Brookfield), to introduce a new residential real estate brand called Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, launching in 2013.

The new partnership is among the few companies that will use the Berkshire Hathaway name with consumers.

This partnership creates the No. 2 real estate and relocation companies in the United States.

“We will continue to provide excellent service to the Northeast Florida community as we have for the last 24 years,” said Prudential Network Realty Founder, President and CEO Linda H. Sherrer, who owns 71 percent of the company, in a statement. “Given the strength of the Berkshire Hathaway brand and the integrity of HomeServices, we are pleased to have the backing of a real estate brand that will strengthen our already solid foundation in the real estate industry.”
