Leadership Jacksonville was created in 1976 as a leadership-development organization. More than 1,800 members have graduated from its annual classes.

The group also offers Youth Leadership Jacksonville for high-school students,

At the annual meeting Tuesday at the Hyatt, the group named David Stein and Dr. Albert Wilkinson Jr. as honorary lifetime members. Stein was unable to be there.

About 130 people attended.

Kent Lindsey of Lindsey Films announced the Leadership Jacksonville Legacy Series, which will feature recorded interviews with area leaders. The series will launch Nov. 15 with an interview with Jacksonville University Chancellor Emeritus Frances Bartlett Kinne.

The programs will be broadcast on WJCT and also be available on the WJCT website, the Leadership Jacksonville website and YouTube Channel, the Schultz Center website, jacksonville.com and jaxdailyrecord.com.

In addition to Kinne, the series will feature civil rights leader Alton Yates, former Mayor Jake Godbold and the late Frederick Shultz. Those interviews will be broadcast in 2013.
