The Jacksonville Public Library has announced reduced service hours effective Monday.

The cuts in hours correspond to a $3.5 million reduction in the library’s fiscal 2012-13 budget, which was approved by City Council on Tuesday.

Hours at 17 of the library’s 21 locations have been reduced.

• All except five locations will be closed Sundays. The Main Library, Charles Webb Wesconnett Regional Library, Pablo Creek Regional Library, Southeast Regional Library and Highlands Branch Library will be open 1-5 p.m. Sundays.

• Most locations will be closed Mondays. For a complete schedule, visit jaxpubliclibrary.org.

In addition, community organizations that have reserved rooms on affected days are asked to reschedule meetings altered by the service-hour changes.
