Davidson Realty hit a milestone recently when we welcomed our 40th agent to the team. In fact, we doubled the number of agents on staff in just 12 months.
Sales are strong, and, in 2013, up to 40 percent of our sales have been new construction.
We credit our exceptional team of agents and also our valuable community connections to helping our family-owned and operated business thrive.
We're proud of agents Mirtha Barzaga and Karen Stern for taking leadership roles with industry organizations. Mirtha is serving on the NEFBA Sales & Marketing Council board and Karen is on the Leadership Committee for NEFAR.
We're also proud of Davidson Realty agents Ron Savarese, Keely Ragin, Shana Rivers and Christine Skaggs who each became nationally certified to work with and understand the uniqueness of lending to military borrowers after graduating from the Certified Military Housing Specialist Course.
At Davidson Realty, we've always been active in the community and happy to volunteer our time and resources to a variety of causes, including The Blood Alliance, March of Dimes and Realtor Ramp it Up.
In 2012, we took community support a step further when we established the Davidson Cares organization (www.DavidsonCares.com), a non-profit focused on awarding grants to schools in the Northern St. Johns County area. We raised more than $8,000 in our first year, and look forward to breaking $15,000 in year two.
Looking forward we're positive about both the near and long term opportunities for the real estate industry in North Florida.
In addition to a substantial increase in new construction, we're also seeing more activity from domestic and international investors; and our Davidson Property Management team under the direction of Shelby Heinemann has experienced strong growth.
