Karl "Carter" Bostwick, president of Guaranty Trust Investments, announced Friday through a news release that the Bostwick Building at the corner of Bay and Ocean streets Downtown is under contract. "We have someone interested in restoring the building who understands the Bostwick family history with the building and is interested in preserving that in addition to the building itself," said Val Bostwick, senior sales associate with Johnson Enterprises Inc., who handled the building's marketing. The building, also known as the "jaguar building," is recognized for the mural of a jaguar displayed in its windows. The mural will be removed from the building before the start of renovations and the pieces will be retained by Carter Bostwick, said Val Bostwick.
