Rimrock Development LLC was cleared to build a $950,000 retail building in The Markets at Town Center next to the St. Johns Town Center in South Jacksonville.

The City approved the permit for Simque Construction to build a 7,500-square-foot building shell at 4890 Big Island Drive.

Tenant build-out will be approved separately. Building plans don’t show exactly how many units are available, but “future demising partitions” are included.

Rimrock Development, based in Lake City, is the manager of Town Center Pad T LLC, which bought the property, about a half-acre, for $2

million June 7 and took out a $2.4 million mortgage the same day from The Jacksonville

Bank.

Rimrock is led by Micah Linton, president of Rimrock Design Inc., a tile and flooring design firm founded in 1998 in Lake City.
