Ron Lieberman of Lecanto is set to become the 61st president of the Florida Home Builders Association this fall.

Lieberman has been a key player on the Florida housing scene for more than 30 years. He has twice served as president of the Citrus County Builders Association and counts three Builder of the Year Awards among his many honors.

He has chaired several FHBA committees involving governmental affairs, political action, codes and affordable housing then joined the senior leadership two years ago.

Lieberman’s current position was First Vice President/Treasurer before the FHBA Board of Directors officially elected him president-elect at the recent Southeast Building Conference in Orlando.

The president-elect designation empowers Lieberman to begin formal planning for his year as president, including appointing committee leaders and working on legislative priorities for the 2014 session of the Florida Legislature.

Lieberman will be officially installed on Saturday evening, October 19 at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay during the FHBA Fall Conference.
