JU renovating dining hall

Jacksonville University is renovating its dining hall at its 2800 University Blvd. campus. Jewel of the South Inc. is upgrading 9,983 square feet of space at a project cost of $100,000. Renovations include millwork, flooring and minor plumbing and electrical work. JU says its food-service partner, Sodexo, is bringing in new food concepts.

Licensed to serve

Duval County Tax Collector Michael Corrigan issued a license for:

• Chef Chan Asian Cuisine Inc., 9802 Baymeadows Road, No. 3, to Elisa Lai Hung Chan.

More new names

Among new names filed with the state to do business:

• Thai Cuisine & Noodle House, 11701 San Jose Blvd., Suite 28, owned by GIN Inc.

• New Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet, 9750 Deer Lake Court, owned by Yi Min Hai Da Inc.
