The City approved a permit for International Management Co. LLC to renovate space for Workscapes in the 121 Atlantic Place building at 121 W. Forsyth St.
The permit calls for a $145,000 renovation of 4,701 square feet of space in Suite 100 on the first floor.
The workscapes.com site says the woman-owned business has locations in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Weston, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville.
"We help create personalized workspaces from the board room to the break room," it says.
Workscapes announced in February that it acquired the five locations of Workplace Resource Florida from Herman Miller and chose not to renew its former distribution agreement with Knoll and immediately aligned with Herman Miller.
"Workscapes will become the largest commercial interiors dealer in the Florida market. Together Herman Miller and Workscapes will have the greatest market presence in Florida, combined with the industry's most comprehensive range of products and services for the office, higher education, health care, hospitality, government, and small business markets," it claimed.
Its Jacksonville location has operated in Southside at 8999 Western Way.
Workscapes was founded in Atlanta by Elizabeth Dvorak and moved to Orlando in March 1998.
Herman Miller Inc. is a Michigan-based public company that sells furniture worldwide for businesses and homes.
