REBarCamp is coming to Northeast Florida.

A one-day session will be at the University of North Florida’s University Center 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. Jan. 10. There is no charge but attendees must register in advance. There is a limit of 500.

According to the website, “REBarcamp Jacksonville is a powerful one-day event focused on education and networking. An ‘unconference,’ if you will, that doesn’t include the expense, product pitching and other things (that) tend to go along with the traditional real estate conferences. It’s simply a place to learn and discuss how those in the real estate industry are using technology and practical marketing techniques to grow their business.”

The usual conference has a speaker and an audience. This concept centers the sessions in small groups with a particular field of discussion, and the groups then develop their own agendas. There will be several speakers, as well.

REBarCamps are offered in many cities and there was one at this year’s Florida Realtors conference in Orlando.
