Macky Weaver, a charter member of the Jacksonville Jaguars front office, announced his resignation Monday after 19 years with the franchise.

Weaver will be a senior adviser this year to Jaguars President Mark Lamping.

Weaver has been senior vice president of sales since 2010 and has served in marketing roles since joining the franchise in 1994 to work for his uncle, original owner Wayne Weaver.

"Macky Weaver is one of a handful of people who can say they helped put the Jaguars on the map here in Jacksonville, and he should always be very proud of that," said Jaguars owner Shad Khan.

Among other front-office moves:

• Megha Parekh will join the organization March 1 as vice president and general counsel. Parekh, currently an associate at Proskauer Rose in New York, replaces Sashi Brown, the new executive vice president and general counsel for the Cleveland Browns. Jacksonville attorney Paul Harden, who is a lobbyist for the Jaguars, is serving as interim general counsel during the transition.

• Chad Johnson was promoted to senior vice president of ticket sales.

• Hussain Naqi was promoted to senior vice president of fan engagement.
