Dinner Bell to ring at Two Doors Down
The popular Two Doors Down restaurant at 436 Park St. in Riverside will add takeout dinners to the menu. Owner Norm Abraham wants to start the service by the first of February.
The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and also offers catering.
Customers next will be able to visit Two Doors Down online and order dinner to pick up. The order site will be dinnerbelljax.com, but Abraham said the site isn't active yet.
There will be a two-week menu posted. Customers can place their order online and note the time they need to pick it up and the number of people to be fed.
Abraham said the pickup time will be 4-7 p.m.
"We want to reach out to the moms and dads who are working and asking, 'what are we having for supper?'" Abraham said.
He said each menu will feature meat entrees and fresh vegetables. He said there will be fried chicken every day that is "hot and ready to go."
"Ring that Dinner Bell!" says a website that is under construction.
Each day of the week, Monday-Friday, customers can choose from one of two entrees, two of three side dishes and an optional salad. The Wednesday menu will feature a theme night, such as "Italian Fare" or "A Cajun Affair."
Abraham said themes could be German, Polish, Arabic, Italian or Greek cuisines, for example.
