How did you become involved?

I became involved through my boss, Xavier Saunders, who informed me about "Ask-A-Lawyer" events and how beneficial they are. I attended my first event in spring 2012 and was instantly engrossed. Kathy Para, the chairwoman, does such a great job organizing the events and her compassion is infectious.

How can someone else become involved?

Contact Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, specifically Kathy Para.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?

When you provide legal assistance at "Ask-A-Lawyer" events or through pro bono cases you realize what a valuable commodity legal services are and how people in our community have been marginalized by not having access to those services.

What was the last book you read or are reading?

"SuperFreakonomics" by Steven Levitt
