The Nocatee community welcomed Gatorland and the Jacksonville Zoo for a “Wildlife Encounters” themed Farmers Market last month in the Nocatee Town Center.
The day of family-friendly fun featured multiple interactive “Animal Encounter” performances from the Orlando-based Gatorland and included crowd participation, wildlife education and entertainment from Gatorland’s alligator trainers.
There was also a variety of animals from the Jacksonville Zoo, accompanied by zoo keepers who encouraged guests to get up close and personal with their reptiles.
Jacksonville Zoo’s lion mascot, Jazoo, was in attendance and entertained families strolling around the market.
The Market is held every third Saturday of the month between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and is open to the public.
