Buffalo Wild Wings seeks zoning exception for alcohol service
Buffalo Wild Wings, which wants to open in The Avenues mall in Southside, has applied for a zoning exception for on-premises consumption of all alcoholic beverages and outside seating in conjunction with its restaurant.
Buffalo Wild Wings wants to open at the 10300 Southside Blvd. mall at the entrance near Ruby Tuesday.
The restaurant proposes 327 seats, comprising 128 for inside dining, 110 for the bar area and 58 on the patio, in addition to "flex" seating and takeout seating.
The Daily Record reported in May that Buffalo Wild Wings plans to open The Avenues location in December in space formerly occupied by Morrison's.
Regional Marketing Manager Randy Groover, based in Atlanta, said it will be the third company-owned location in the area.
The buffalowildwings.com site shows the existing two Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants in Northeast Florida are at River City Marketplace and along Wells Road in Orange Park.
Groover said two stores were closed previously in Orange Park and along Baymeadows Road.
"Florida is becoming a hotbed for company-owned restaurants," he said.
