• Change of command ceremonies are scheduled next month for Naval Air Station Jacksonville and Naval Station Mayport. On Aug. 2 at NAS Jacksonville, Executive Officer Capt. Roy Undersander will assume command from departing Commanding Officer Capt. Bob Sanders. On Aug. 9 at Naval Station Mayport, Capt. Douglas Cochrane will be relieved as commanding officer by Capt. Wesley McCall.

• The American Society of Landscape Architects has named Jacksonville landscape architect Chris Flagg to its Council of Fellows for 2013. The honor is among the highest the society bestows on its members and is in recognition of contributions a person has made to the profession and society at large. The council featured 33 additions for the year.

• The Downtown Investment Authority scheduled its next monthly meeting at 5 p.m. July 24 in the Don Davis Room on the first floor of City Hall, 117 W. Duval St.

• Two anonymous donors have given $3 million for the new 70,000-square-foot YMCA in Riverside to be named in honor of James H. Winston, a well-known local civic leader, real estate developer and philanthropist. The YMCA of Florida's First Coast is conducting a $21 million capital fundraising effort for the project, which is expected to break ground in the coming months and open in 2014. All but $5 million has been raised for the project. It will be known as the James and Mary Winston Family YMCA.

• The LBA Group, an accounting, consulting and wealth advisory services firm, has announced the promotions of Barbara Finke, Jason Lafser, Greg Lacina, Therese Zeman and Rebecca King. Finke has been promoted to senior manager within the Audi and Assurance Services team. Lafser has been promoted to senior tax managers. Lacina and Zeman have been promoted to tax managers. King has been promoted to senior manager with the audit and assurance team.

• Mayo Clinic's new primary care center has opened at 7826 Ozark Drive near Gate Parkway and the Interstate 295 East Beltway. The two-story, 40,000-square-foot, $16.7 million center is in the fast-growing Hampton Village area. The center opens with five physicians and an advanced registered nurse practitioner, and is built to accommodate more than 20 care providers. The center has about 30 full- and part-time allied health staff. It is the first new freestanding primary care center Mayo Clinic has built in 16 years.

• Jacksonville Community Council Inc. has scheduled its 39th annual meeting from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 10 at WJCT Studios at 100 Festival Park Ave. Tickets are on sale starting Aug. 19. For information, visit jcci.org.
