LUSH, Torrid at The Avenues

The Avenues mall, at 10300 Southside Blvd., is preparing for at least two more tenants.

• The City approved build-out for LUSH Handmade Cosmetics. D.G.G. General Contractor & Plumbing Contractor LLC is the contractor for the $100,000 project in space 1550. LUSH already is building out about 1,500 square feet of space at St. Johns Town Center at a project cost of $102,543. TDS Construction Inc. is the contractor for that project.

• The City is reviewing plans for a Torrid store in Space 2560. Hot Topic Inc. owns the brand. No contractor was listed for the $146,000 remodel of 2,249 square feet of space. Torrid features current trends for plus-size women and teens.

Signs for Performance Bicycle

Signs were approved for Performance Bicycle at 4421 Southside Blvd. The two wall signs carry a project cost of $16,000.

The City previously approved renovations to convert the former David Gates Golf Headquarters store in the Tinseltown area for Performance Bicycle.

Performance Bicycle, based in Chapel Hill, N.C., announced in February it will open five stores in Florida, including one in Jacksonville.

Mid Atlantic Renovation Inc. was listed as the contractor to renovate the store at a cost of $155,000. It's a 10,260-square-foot project.

The performancebike.com site shows the company, with more than 100 stores in 19 states, will open the Jacksonville store soon.

The site says the new stores feature an easy-to-shop layout with more than 3,000 cycling items including bikes, cycling-specific clothing, sports nutrition, components and accessories. The stores feature Performance Bicycle's signature Spin Doctor Service and Repair department.

Walmart remodeling at River City Marketplace

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. received City approval to remodel its River City Marketplace Supercenter at a project cost of $317,116.

Stephen L. Gehring Construction Inc. is the contractor for the job. The plans show a general remodel of the 215,287-square-foot store, built in 2006.

BRR Architecture Inc. of Merriam, Kan., is the architect.
