A new program at the Main Library, “Out to Lunch,” premiered Thursday in the Multipurpose Room in the Conference Center. The debut concert was performed by the U.S. Navy Band Southeast’s Windward Brass, a trumpet, trombone, tuba and horn quintet. The group played a selection of patriotic songs, Broadway tunes and traditional compositions. Unit Leader Petty Officer Scott Farquhar said the acoustics in the room were perfect for brass instruments. More than 40 people ate lunch while they listened to the free concert.
