Mama Q's Pizza in Mandarin

The City approved renovations for Mama Q's Pizza in the Crossroads at Mandarin center at 10550 Old St. Augustine Road. It's the center where Walmart opened one of its area Neighborhood Markets.

STG Contracting Group Inc. is the contractor to remodel a former 1,380-square-foot pizza shop for Mama Q's at a project cost of $55,000.

The mamaqspizza.com website posted June 12 that the new, family-owned pizza restaurant will make pizza, salads, wings, breadsticks and garlic knots and also will deliver to an area surrounding the store.

"But since we are located just off of I-295, you can always drop in and grab a couple delicious pizzas to take home to the family after a long day at work or shopping," says the site.

It also will offer a few tables "in our beautifully designed store where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the hottest, freshest, most delicious pizza you've ever enjoyed right out of the oven."

The site says the restaurant will "buy locally whenever possible - let's face it: we're anti-chain! Anti-mass produced. Anti-common."

Licensed to serve

Tax Collector Michael Corrigan issued a license for Cubarico Café to Enrique J. Hernandez at 2512 W. Kershaw Drive.
