Nearly 100 young lawyers attended The Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Judicial Breakfast on Thursday at the Duval County Courthouse.

The young lawyers were given an opportunity to socialize with Circuit and Duval County judges of the 4th Judicial Circuit.

The judicial attendees included Circuit Judges Thomas Beverly, Hugh Carithers, Mallory Cooper, Jim Daniel, Virginia Norton, Tatiana Salvador, Elizabeth Senterfitt, Waddell Wallace and William Wilkes.

County Judges Roberto Arias, Angela Cox, Gary Flower, Ronald Higbee, Michelle Kalil and Scott Mitchell also attended the event.

The program was developed to address the need for greater communication between the bench and the Bar. It allows young lawyers to meet with the judiciary in a social setting where they could ask questions about courtroom procedure that they might not be able to ask during courtroom interaction.

Young Lawyers Section members Jennifer Kifer and Sarah Anderson organized the event.
