• The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has been named the fifth "Most Social Media Friendly Police Department" among the 100 largest cities in the U.S., according to online service MPHProgramslist.com. The rankings were released April 23 and were based on how agencies prepare to "get the word out quickly via social media when the need arises." They were rated using Facebook, Twitter and YouTube services. The Jacksonville office was ranked behind those in Dallas, Boston, Portland, Ore., and Kansas City, Mo.

The website is a resource for students interested in public health, public administration and public policy and health administration programs and aims to "cover every facet of public health, policy and administration and how each area of society plays a role."
