Veteran Jacksonville Realtors will serve as NEFAR’s top officers in 2014.
The upcoming slate was approved last month at the association’s quarterly meeting at the Marriott Southpoint and will be inducted in January.
Linda McMorrow moves up from president-elect to the presidency and will be followed in 2015 by Sally Suslak of Traditions Realty.
Terrell Newberry of Benchmark Brokers will be the treasurer and Marc Jernigan of Watson Realty’s Fleming Island office will be the secretary.
The top two positions are held by broker/owners of Jacksonville firms.
McMorrow, who owns The Legends of Real Estate with her identical twin, Selby Kaiser, was NEFAR’s Realtor of the Year in 2011 and has held numerous offices in both NEFAR and the Multiple Listing Service, serving as its president in 2007.
Suslak, currently the NEFAR treasurer, is the owner/broker of Traditions Realty, based in Jacksonville’s Riverside area. A Massachusetts native, she moved to the area more than 30 years ago and is deeply involved in the Riverside/Avondale area, heading RAP (Riverside Avondale Preservation) and chairing the Downtown Neighborhoods Council of Realtors, now the Historical Area Council.
Also elected at the meeting were directors to fill expired NEFAR and MLS terms, and the 2014 representative to the National Association of Realtors.
