It was like opening a Christmas present.

Members of ICI Homes of Tamaya kept the design details of their new Mediterranean-style master planned community under wraps until a series of VIP tours in March.

“I’ve been doing real estate a long time and even I couldn’t get anything out of the site agent,” said Judy Hicks, a Realtor for Re/Max Coastal Real Estate.

But response to Tamaya surprised even the company. Don Wilford, ICI Homes’ North Florida division president, said the company had 25 lot reservations in four days and five contracts.

The development’s location near Beach and Kernan boulevards, its European-style architecture and incredible amenities would all help drive sales, Hicks said.

“I brought in a buyer on Saturday and they bought a lot,” she said.

ICI Homes will build 169 homes during the development’s first phase build-out, ranging from 1,900 to 3,500 square feet and priced from $300,000 to $600,000.

Tours are available by appointment only through April 26. Call (855) 279-6053 or visit TamayaFL.com.
