As the newest council at NEFBA, now celebrating our second year, the E-Council would like to take a moment to introduce ourselves and invite you to join us.
The E-Council serves as a valuable resource for anyone interested in energy efficiency and building. The E-Council membership includes builders, real estate professionals, inspectors, HVAC contractors, utilities, financial institutions, material suppliers, remodelers and engineering firms. Each one has found value in building energy-efficient buildings and homes for their Jacksonville area customers.
NEFBA’s E-Council has hosted informative learning opportunities over the past two years, most of which have conveniently been at the NEFBA offices.
Some past lunch-and-learn sessions have featured trending topics such as spray-foam insulation, PEX plumbing systems, smart home technology, photovoltaic systems, Florida building code, heat pump water heaters, renovation and rehabilitation of Florida homes, and insights into the mysteries of building science.
Each month the E-Council aims to strengthen your knowledge on important building related topics while providing an opportunity to meet other local professionals.
While the monthly lunch-and-learn events are a key resource the E-Council provides to all interested, there are also evening events.
Periodically members get to experience the topics hands-on by attending an E-Council tour or demonstration. They are usually followed up by a friendly gathering at a local restaurant for drinks.
The E-Council extends a welcome to anyone interested in energy efficiency and building. We would love to see you at one of the lunch meetings the second Wednesday of each month.

In August the luncheon topic will be mini-split heat pumps, also known as ductless heat pumps. Join the E-Council to learn more about new ways these highly efficient systems are being used in homes and businesses.
