Leigh Thomas Brown

Top agent Leigh Thomas Brown of Re/Max Executive Realty in Charlotte, NC. will deliver the keynote speech at Northeast Florida Association of Realtors’ REBar Jax Camp in January.

The third annual event returns Jan. 9 to the University of North Florida’s Adam W. Herbert University Center.

REBar is a one-day education and networking event where Realtors, industry leaders and innovators discuss subjects like how professionals are using technology or practical marketing techniques to grow businesses.

Organizers describe REBar as an “unconference,” because it doesn’t include the expense and product-pitching that tend to go with traditional real estate conferences.

Attendees set the agenda by filling out slips of paper indicating what subjects they’d like covered.

This year’s event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes a keynote, five educational sessions, lunch and a grand finale session.

A pre-event “launch” party will be held Thursday, from 8-6 p.m. at Blackfinn Ameripub.
