NEFBA’s Membership Director Dana McIntyre is planning to start a Topic à la Carte lunch program.
“We will send an email to all the members who have an email address on record,” McIntyre said. “The email will have the details for the lunch-time meeting, and the first people to respond will have the opportunity to have lunch with our guest expert. Seating will be limited to no more than 6 at a time.”
The experts — other NEFBA members — will talk about best business practices, share tips they’ve learned along the way and be available to answer questions.
“I see this as a great way for people to learn about other businesses and to get to know each other better,” McIntyre said. “Our members have told us they would like to learn from more experienced people in the same business, and this is one way to do that.”
Each lunch will have a predetermined topic and takeaways about management, marketing, problem solving and other business and operations issues.
One example would be database solutions for small businesses. McIntyre is inviting members to provide their ideas and suggestions for topics.
“This is just one more way to increase the benefit of your NEFBA membership. We urge people to take advantage of it,” McIntyre said.
