Coldwell Banker Commercial Benchmark has acquired Century 21 Atkins Realty, according to Jax Brokerage Team Inc., the company that brokered the deal.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Century 21 Atkins Realty will continue to operate under its current name at the same location, 11516 San Jose Blvd.
New owners Terrell Newberry and Nick Nicholson said previous owners Robert and Pam Atkins will continue with the company.
The deal expands both companies to 43 agents.
The company plans to grow in the Jacksonville market in next five years, by adding offices and agents. It also will add a residential and commercial property management division, Newberry said in a news release.
Berkshire Hathaway enters property management
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty has launched Florida Network Property Management, a new division that manages single-family homes and condominiums.
Realtor Shelby Heinemann has rejoined the company as asset manager of the new division.
Heinemann started her real estate career in 2005 with Prudential Network Realty (now Berkshire Hathaway) and has been working in property management since 2007. She completed the Property Management Academy courses and serves on the board of the Northeast Florida Association of Residential Property Managers.
Florida Network Property Management will provide management services for single-family homes and condominiums, including marketing, tenant screening, leasing, maintenance, mid-term property reviews and accounting.
Oxford Estates models finished
David Weekley Homes has finished models at Oxford Estates, a new 102-unit gated community near Durbin Crossing off Longleaf Pine Parkway and Roberts Road in St. Johns County.
The community bucks the growing trend toward extensive amenities. Instead, it charges no CBD fees and offers a lifestyle that includes walking trails and parks, said sales consultant Victoria Hartwell.
Oxford Estates features 2,600-4,000-square-foot semi-custom homes on waterfront and preserve estate-sized lots. Prices begin at $369,000.
La Fontana at World Golf Village breaks ground
Developers broke ground Sept. 25 on La Fontana, a 52-unit condo development at World Golf Village. The complex will be the last phase of an existing condo community called The Residences.
La Fontana will appeal to baby boomers who want a second home or a retirement home with a maintenance free lifestyle, said developer Troy White of WGV Residential Ventures 1.
The development will include three-bedroom, 1,900-square-foot floor plans and four-bedroom, 2,600-square-foot plans. Every unit will have a lanai. The four-bedroom models will have a patio, as well.
“When you walk in, they feel like a home. They don’t feel like a weekend condo,” White said.
Blue Reed Management plans to build the development’s four buildings one at a time, in order to keep the area’s natural foliage intact for residents.
Homes start in the $280,000s and are being marketed by Davidson Realty.
AV Homes to build in Nocatee
AV Homes is joining Nocatee’s team of homebuilders. It’s the first new builder to join the top-selling master-planned community in two years.
The national builder will offer six home designs in Nocatee’s newest neighborhood, Cypress Trails.
The one- and two-story designs will feature 1,750 square feet to 2,750 square feet of living space, some with flex rooms and bonus spaces. Six architectural elevations will include craftsman, French country, low country Tuscan, English country and neoclassical.
Each floor plan is designed to showcase Cypress Trails’ lake and nature preserve views. Buyers also will enjoy proximity to Nocatee’s newest amenity center, Cypress Park, located within the neighborhood.
The park is expected to open in spring 2015 and will offer a shallow-entry swimming pool, dog park, residents’ clubhouse, playground and athletic fields.
The homes will target move-up buyers, with pricing from the $210,000s. Sales will launch in December and the first model will be open at the same time.

• GreenPointe Homes has sold 215 finished home sites at Bridgewater, a master-planned community of single-family homes between Orlando and Tampa, to LGI Homes. The Jacksonville-based GreenPointe Homes will retain ownership of the remaining developed and undeveloped home sites at Bridgewater, along with land to accommodate multi-family and commercial development.
