After months of planning, negotiating and soliciting builder buy-in, Green Built Homes was ready to debut its demonstration home. NEFBA and JEA forged a relationship to offer incentives to builders who met certain green-building criteria.

Beazer Homes built the model home and in June 2006 invited the public to tour and see live demonstrations of the benefits of energy efficient building practices, methods and materials.

A by-product of the program was the creation of NEFBA’s E-Council.
