Construction of an $11 million amenity center at Tamaya, a Mediterranean-style master-planned community at Beach and Kernan boulevards, is scheduled to begin this spring and finish sometime in 2016.

The center will have a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse, pools and outdoor recreation areas, including tennis and an event lawn. The clubhouse will include nearly 4,500 square feet of fitness space.

Developer ICI Homes of Tamaya has selected Ervin Lovett Miller of Jacksonville as the center’s architect and Ansana Interior Design of Orlando as its interior designer.

Tamaya, which opened in spring of 2014, features eight customizable furnished home models ranging from 1,900 to 4,000-plus, with prices from the $300,000s to $600,000s.

The first 169-home neighborhood, Bella Nina, is already more than 50 percent sold. Site work is now underway on Tamaya’s next 146-home neighborhood, Bella Nika, and new model and home construction is expected to begin in early 2016.

Site work is also underway on a new grand entrance to Tamaya.
