Michelle Glass has joined the NEFBA staff as its administrative assistant, and NEFBA is proud to introduce her to the members she will be assisting.

A graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor of science degree in management information systems, Glass began her career in the financial industry working for Wachovia and Regions Bank in positions of increasing responsibility.

In 2007, Glass took time from her career to be a stay-at-home mom for Nathan, 9; Liam, 7; and Braxton, 4.

Luckily for NEFBA, she re-entered the working force a few months ago and accepted the offer to assume the front desk role for the association.

As administrative assistant, Glass will be the first point of contact for members and would-be members. She also will prepare for executive committee and board of director meetings.

She maintains communication with members and the public through the website and weekly emails (NEFBA News), as well as coordinating room reservations for events at the NEFBA office and stocking the supply cabinet. Implied in her job title is myriad other duties to support the staff, members and the public.

Glass admits to being a “huge FSU fan,” and has been an FSU football season ticket holder since 2003. She is a runner and enjoys biking on the Baldwin Trail.

“I enjoy the environment at NEFBA,” she said. “Even in the short time I’ve been here, I appreciate the teamwork and how everyone works together to make events successful.”

Glass reports to Executive Director Corey Deal.

“It was truly our lucky day when we met and interviewed Michelle,” Deal said. “She certainly is qualified in education and experience, but it takes more than that to fill the front desk position. Team work is indeed the hallmark of the NEFBA staff, and Michelle has fit right in. Not only has she been quick to pick up the intricacies of the job, but she’s a real asset to the team.”

Stop by the front desk, say hello, and welcome Michelle to NEFBA.
