Meeting new partners at Meet the Builder

One of the most valuable benefits of NEFBA membership is the opportunity to make new business partners. NEFBA’s annual Meet the Builder night Sept. 10 featured 28 builders at the NEFBA office eager to meet and learn about associate members.

“More than 200 associate members took advantage of this remarkable opportunity,” said Executive Director Corey Deal. “This is what membership is all about. We encourage members to do business with other members in a variety of ways, and this is one of the most important events on our calendar for that.

“Builders commit to spending an evening behind a table, to shake hands with and listen to associate members with services and products builders need,” Deal said.

Associate members who participated in the NEFBA Construction Industry Trade Show had early entry and access to the builders beginning at 4 p.m. Then the doors opened at 5 for the general membership. The event ran until 7 p.m.

“It would be difficult to calculate the time and effort it would take for each of the associates to achieve this same access on an individual basis,” Deal said. “Better than scheduling appointments and much better than cold calls, Meet the Builder is a win-win for both sides of the table.

“We appreciate the builders who committed to making this evening a success, and we were glad to see so many associates realizing what a great chance this was to gain face-to-face time with builders,” Deal said.
