The clock is ticking. Pages are falling off the calendar.
Local, state and national politics consume much of our time and attention as we head into the fall election season.
It’s a good time to stop for a few minutes, take a deep breath and take stock.
Where did we begin the year? Where are we now? And, where are we headed?
Let’s keep the analysis close and personal: NEFBA.
We started the year on a good note. Many of our members were enjoying a resurgence of business and confidence as the year began.
We celebrated our 70th anniversary in 2014 and spent a fair amount of time reviewing and commending our 70 years of continuous service to the industry and the community.
We remembered the boom years and the more difficult evening-out years.
Last year and this year, we have added to our legacy of service through our dedication to improving the quality of life in Northeast Florida.
Today, we see our members busy building homes, providing associated services, involved in decision-making processes and participating in charitable outreach programs that benefit our neighbors here and around the globe.
This has been a particularly good year in terms of the accolades we have received. I have never been more proud of NEFBA than I am today.
What lies ahead? That depends on you. I hope we have all learned valuable lessons about conducting business to thrive and to survive.
I know we have learned lessons about creating relationships, working together for a common goal and taking care of each other.
What I see ahead is a stronger, more relevant association. We have the advantage of leaders with decades of experience.
We are energized by leaders with a new, fresh vision of the future. And we are growing with members who are eager to learn, eager to share and eager to move forward.
I see a bright future for NEFBA because of you. Thank you for becoming and remaining a NEFBA member. You are the reason I look forward to NEFBA’s future.
