St. Johns County issued permits March 27 for Publix Super Markets to build a grocery store in the master-planned Silverleaf community in St. Johns County.
It is north of Silverleaf Parkway and west of St. Johns Parkway near the 55-plus age-restricted housing development Reverie Trailmark.
The development includes a 55,701-square-foot store that reflects the grocery chain’s new prototype that typically has a Pours cafe that also serves beer and wine.
A 2,100-square-foot liquor store and two retail stores totaling 13,700 square feet are part of the shopping center, owned by Silverleaf Market LLC.
Plans show 384 parking spaces at the 24.7-acre property. Six outparcels will be developed later, according to an application from England-Thims & Miller, the project’s civil engineer.
Turner Home looking at location near Nocatee Splash Water Park
Turner Home is exploring a location in Nocatee.
The county is reviewing plans submitted April 11 for a site on vacant land along north Crosswater Parkway about 0.5 mile east of the Nocatee Splash Water Park near St. Johns County Fire-Rescue Station No. 18.
Turner Home sells indoor and outdoor furniture, accessories and decor.
Plans show a 32,018-square-foot store, 7,947-square-foot garden center, 10,064-square-foot storage area and 80 parking spaces.

The Turner family owns several Ace Hardware stores and co-founded V Pizza.
UF Health Durbin Park is moving forward with a medical office building that is part of its 42.5-acre health and wellness campus in St. Johns County.
The county issued a building permit April 10 for the $10.8 million project.
The 72,147-square-foot building is at 120 Flagler Health Way near Race Track Road.
After receiving a building permit in December 2023 for a 150-bed hospital at the site, leaders from the University of Florida and UF Health broke ground on the project Feb. 21, 2024.
The hospital was the first campus component permitted.
The UF Health Durbin Park hospital will focus on orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular medicine and women’s services. It is planned to open in mid-2026.
An ambulatory surgery center is also planned.
According to UFHealth.org, the first phase of the campus is expected to bring 2,000 new jobs to the area, leading to a total of 12,000 jobs over time in St. Johns County and Jacksonville.
The Home Depot in World Commerce Center in St. Augustine opened April 17.
The store is along International Golf Parkway about 1.5 miles southwest of Costco Wholesale, the Buc-ee’s gas station and convenience store and Bass Pro Shops.
Home Depot expects to create 150 jobs, adding to the 206,200 it employs across all locations, according to a news release.
The Home Depot paid $6.97 million for the 14.7-acre site at 655 World Commerce Center Parkway on March 9, 2024. Atlanta-based Home Depot USA Inc. bought the site from World Commerce Center LLP of Jacksonville.
IGP 95/Logistics Park received a certificate of occupancy in May for its nearly 510,000-square-foot industrial center in St. Augustine.
Located at the World Commerce Center, the 43-acre site includes three warehouses near a proposed Walmart Supercenter off Interstate 95 about 2.3 miles southwest of Buc-ee’s, Costco and Bass Pro Shops.
It has two signed tenants. Avanti Windows & Doors has moved in. Space for long-range electric vehicle maker Rivian is being built-out.
