Breeze Airways announced May 7 it is adding nonstop service from Jacksonville International Airport to Akron-Canton Airport in North Canton, Ohio.
Starting Sept. 4, the new route will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. A promotion expiring May 13 offers one-way fares as low as $59.
Regular fares start at $69.
“Breeze Airways new nonstop flights to Akron/Canton will provide easy access to the Northeast Ohio region for our travelers,” Jacksonville Aviation Authority CEO Mark VanLoh said in a news release. “These flights also give football fans a perfect excuse to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame.”
The Jacksonville Jaguars have one member of the Hall of Fame, Tony Boselli, who was elected in 2022. He is now the team’s executive vice president of football operations.
Breeze began flying out of Jacksonville International Airport in May 2022.
According to flybreeze.com, the airline offers service to the following cities. Some destinations are seasonal:
Hartford, Connecticut; Las Vegas; New Orleans; Norfolk, Virginia; Providence, Rhode Island; Burlington, Vermont; Columbus, Ohio; Los Angeles; Pittsburgh; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; San Diego; Long Island/Islip, New York; Portland, Maine; Richmond, Virginia; and Westchester County-White Plains, New York.
The airline operates more than 275 year-round and seasonal routes to 72 cities in 32 states. Founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, Breeze launched in May 2021
