Jacksonville-based The Suddath Cos. announced April 2 that its NXTPoint Logistics subsidiary appointed Mike Liantonio as president.
Matt VanderLinde, COO of the Supply Chain Solutions group, had been interim president during the search for a president, a company spokesperson said.
A news release said Liantonio brings to NXTPoint three decades of experience and leadership in the third-party logistics, supply chain and distribution industries. NXTPoint provides logistics and supply chain solutions.

Liantonio most recently was CEO, since 2017, of Wrist Ship Supply’s North and Central America regions. That company is a global marine supply company, supplying food and nonfood products to maritime vessels, cruise ships and the offshore oil and gas industry.
The release said North and Central America are Wrist’s largest regions. Liantonio was responsible for locations in the United States, Canada and Panama, overseeing sales, procurement/purchasing, logistics and warehouse/fulfillment operations for each.
“Mike brings a long track record of success in supply chain, logistics and distribution to NXTPoint Logistics that will help us elevate our business and accelerate our growth,” Suddath Cos. President and CEO Mike Brannigan said in the release.
“Mike is a natural leader, dating back to his time in the military, and we look forward to having him join our talented team to continue to bring innovative supply chain solutions to our customers.”
The release said that before Wrist Ship Supply, Liantonio was with FedEx Supply Chain Solutions; Yusen Logistics; Momentum Transportation, a Jacksonville-based Landstar agent; CSX; and i2 Technologies, which was bought by Blue Yonder in 2010.
He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served about 10 years in the U.S. Army, including as the company commander for a transportation company while deployed in Bosnia, the release said.
“I look forward to working with the team and our customers to continue to elevate NXTPoint Logistics in the marketplace,” Liantonio said in the release.
Liantonio joins NXTPoint as Suddath starts to develop Airport Commerce Center in North Jacksonville with a distribution center for NXTPoint Logistics.
Evan Walton, Suddath senior vice president of real estate and construction, said March 19 that NXTPoint Logistics would establish its headquarters in a 566,000-square-foot building at the 312-acre Airport Commerce Center.
A 250,000-square-foot building also is proposed in that phase for use by NXTPoint or another tenant.
Suddath intends to develop a proposed 2.98 million-square-foot industrial park at the industrial park, which is along Pecan Park Road near Jacksonville International Airport.
