For the past three years, Three Rivers Legal Services has partnered with the Jacksonville Branch of the NAACP to provide monthly Ask-A-Lawyer Clinics.
At these clinics, community members get to meet local volunteer attorneys for free legal advice on myriad issues including family, consumer and housing topics.
We know how important community outreach and engagement are, and we are honored to work with the NAACP on this legal clinic series.
We are even more excited to share that the Jacksonville NAACP branch was recently honored at the national level for its commitment to community service.
At the 117th NAACP National Convention July 18-22 in Chicago, our local branch received the Dr. Ross Thalheimer Award, the highest recognition awarded to branches and units.
This award celebrates excellence in advancing the NAACP’s mission through impactful programming, community engagement, civil rights advocacy, membership growth, communications and meaningful service.

We want to thank the Jacksonville Bar Association and D.W. Perkins Bar Association members who volunteer at the clinics, ensuring that low-income members of our community have access to the courts and to justice.
We look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come and expanding our services to additional branches, including the Clay County branch.
