Coffee and doughnut chain Dunkin’ is planning a location in Oakleaf Plantation, the master-planned community that spans Clay and Duval counties.
Clay County is reviewing a permit application for the project at east Canaveral Trace and Resilience Way. The First Coast Expressway is to the east. It is south of Oakleaf Plantation Parkway.
The application shows a freestanding 1,380-square-foot store with a drive-thru and 12 parking spaces.
Birmingham, Alabama-based Skiles Engineering LLC is the civil engineer for the store.
The vacant parcel is owned by developer Armstrong Development Inc. of Virginia.
The next step in Clay County’s approval process is a civil review of project plans. A project cost will be determined when the project is issued a permit.
The site is about 10 miles south of a Dunkin’ in development in Jacksonville.
The city issued a permit Jan. 20 to Suncoast Industrial & Construction Services Inc. of Atlantic Beach for the $800,000 project for a 1,980-square-foot Dunkin’ on 2.46 acres at 11410 Normandy Blvd. in West Jacksonville between Chaffee Road and First Coast Expressway.
Donahue Architecture Inc. of Ocala is the architect. Franchisee Alisha & Pooja LLC is listed as the owner.
The city issued a site-clearing permit to Suncoast Industrial for the project.
