• Road Ranger emergency assistance services in the Jacksonville area have expanded into Baker, Nassau and St. Johns counties through a sponsorship from the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization, which is providing $500,000 a year for the next three years to operate the Road Rangers. The rangers offer free highway assistance to reduce delays and improve safety for motorists and responders. They previously operated only in Duval County.
