Five seats are open on the Jacksonville Bar Association Board of Governors for the upcoming election. All seats are two-year terms. One seat has been vacated by Mike Freed, who is running unopposed for president-elect. Incumbents Giselle Carson, Tad Delegal, Braxton Gillam and Troy Smith are running for re-election. New candidates Fraz Ahmed, Kirby Oberdorfer, Jodi Seitlin and Rose Marie Preddy are also running for a seat on the board. Oberdorfer was president of the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) and served on the board as the YLS representative during the last term. The five candidates with the most votes will be elected to the board.
