• There is some good news regarding local foreclosures. According to real estate market consultant Ray Rodriguez, filings for the first quarter are down throughout Northeast Florida. They were down 25 percent in Clay County, 19 percent in Duval, 9 percent in St. Johns and 6 percent in Nassau. Overall, though, there were still 4,157 filings in the four counties the first three months of the year.
