• The Jacksonville Ethics Commission voted Monday that, except for small changes, the Jacksonville Sunshine Law Compliance Act should remain as it was originally written. “The overall thought on the proposed law is we like the law the way it was,” said Braxton Gillam, chair of the commission’s legislative subcommittee. The commission also thanked member Patrick Plumlee, who will step down, for his service to the commission. Council President Richard Clark has chosen lawyer Tatiana Salvador as the City Council’s latest appointee to the commission. The selection awaits a council vote.
