The Jacksonville Port Authority announced it will host its fourth annual Small Business Appreciation Day on May 24.

The event is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 9810 August Drive in North Jacksonville.

JaxPort said procurement leaders from around the region will participate in a roundtable discussion about business opportunities at the port and other agencies throughout the city of Jacksonville.

Diversity supplier expert Kathey Porter, the author of the “50 billion dollar boss,” will outline strategies for achieving business success through diversity and inclusion.

“JAXPORT values the important role small businesses serve in the growth of Northeast Florida’s economy,” JaxPort CEO Eric Green said in a news release.

“As businesses adapt to new technology and workforce trends, we are pleased to provide free training, networking and resources tailored to the unique needs of our small business community.”
