Cinemark Theatres said it will open Feb. 14 in The Pavilion at Durbin Park at 435 Durbin Pavilion Drive in St. Johns County.

It’s a 12-screen theater with 1,081 seats.

Cinemark said its upgraded movie experience will feature surround sound; swivel tables and heated luxury loungers; and enhanced food and beverage offerings through the on-site StudioEats restaurant.

Bad Axe Throwing wants to sell beer, wine

Bad Axe Throwing wants to sell and serve beer and wine at its proposed Springfield location at 1719 N. Main St.

The property owner, Shoppes of Lakeside Inc., seeks a zoning exception from the city. The Jacksonville Planning Commission scheduled a Feb. 20 public hearing.
