Summit Tower is adding executive office suites to Riverside.

Padgett Premiere Properties LLC, which owns the nine-story tower at 1000 Riverside Ave., is building out about 5,000 square feet on the third floor, facing the St. Johns River.

Property Manager Scott Nyman said the space will offer 15 suites as well as a conference room, coffee and break lounge, and a copy/resource room.

Two of the offices will be large enough to accommodate two people. All offices will be fully furnished and include internet and phone service, as well as an option for a receptionist to answer phones.

The city is reviewing a building-permit application for a $300,000 build-out by Summit Contracting Group.

Nyman expects project completion in about 10 weeks.

He said pre-leasing has begun and a few tenants are interested.

Marc Padgett is president and Nicole Padgett is vice president and chief administrative officer of Summit Contracting Group. They also are managers of Padgett Premiere Properties.

They bought the building in October 2014 and moved their corporate headquarters there in June 2015. They have been renovating the building.

Daily’s building at Gate Parkway and Point Meadows

First Coast Energy LLP filed plans to build a Daily’s gas station and convenience store at Gate Parkway and Point Meadows Drive, near the Ikea site.

Plans show a 5,000-square-foot Daily’s, fuel pumps and a car wash.

Spokeswoman Andrea Kane said Jacksonville-based First Coast Energy anticipates construction will start in the third quarter with completion by year-end, pending permitting and approvals.

It will include a Daily’s Dash and at least 20 fueling stations, she said.

First Coast Energy operates at least 25 Daily’s in the Jacksonville area, including one at 4887 Gate Parkway near St. Johns Town Center.

It has several more under development.

Daily’s Dash is its fast-casual, café food-service concept.
