Heart and vascular pavilion in Riverside projected to open in 2019.
St. Vincent’s HealthCare will soon lay the foundation for its riverfront heart and vascular pavilion in Riverside.
The city is reviewing a permit application for The Haskell Co. to put in the foundation at a project cost of $1.85 million for the four-story tower at 1 Shircliff Way off Riverside Avenue.
The $55 million riverfront project is designed at 82,863 square feet, a spokesman said previously. It will be developed where Seton Hall was demolished.
St. Vincent’s HealthCare is part of Ascension Jacksonville. It announced in November it would break ground this summer with a projected opening in fall 2019.
The pavilion will include 30 medical and surgical rooms and 30 intensive care rooms. It primarily will be used for heart and vascular needs, including two nursing units to care for patients who undergo open-heart surgeries and other cardiovascular procedures.
Orange Park Medical Center adding NICU beds
Orange Park Medical Center announced a $2.9 million expansion project to add 2,100 square feet of space to its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing five additional NICU beds to the unit.
The medical center said the new beds can provide level II or level III subspecialty newborn care with the ability to care for babies born at less than 32 weeks gestation and 1,000 grams (2.2 pounds) as well as babies born with a critical illness, at all gestational ages. It will more than double the number of beds available for newborn babies.
Commercial Construction Services is the contractor and TMPartners is the architect. Construction will start this summer for completion early next year.
eTown development moving toward welcome center
With marketing in full swing for eTown, more approvals are sought for the Southside housing and commercial development along Interstate 295 and Florida 9B.
The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing an application to modify a permit for the eTown Welcome Center along E-Town Parkway.
While known as E-Town in regulatory applications, The PARC Group is marketing it as eTown.
The almost 4,800-square-foot welcome center is planned on 2.14 acres.
Country Inn & Suites to open near Costco
CR3 Hospitality LLC paid $1.6 million for property along Parramore Road to develop a Country Inn & Suites near the new Costco Wholesale Club.
The buyer, based at the Country Inn & Suites at Interstate 295 and Youngerman Circle, bought the 1.6-acre site from Harmony Farms of Jacksonville LLC.
Plans show the hotel will comprise up to 89 rooms and there is a pool.
Home2 Suites by Hilton building in St. Augustine
Homes2 Suites by Hilton is approved for construction in St. Augustine.
St. Johns County OK’d a permit May 31 for the four-story, 90-room hotel at 270 Outlet Mall Blvd. at a construction cost of $9.1 million.
The 58,804-square-foot hotel is planned on 2.3 acres that are now vacant. The developer is Peachtree Hotel Group II LLC in Atlanta.
• Amazon.com intends to add three conveyors to its sortation center at Westside Industrial Park at a cost of $315,407. The city is reviewing a permit application for the project at 4948 Bulls Bay Highway.
• World Golf Village Gymnasium Center is proposed on almost 2 acres at the St. Johns County mixed-use World Golf Village center. Plans show a first phase of almost 14,500 square feet and a second of 4,135 square feet. Taylor & White Inc. is the civil engineer.
• Gate Petroleum Co. earned a Concurrency Reservation Certificate for a 5,101-square-foot Gate Express Carwash on 2.26 acres at Blanding Boulevard and Hyde Park Drive.
