Downtown Vision Inc.’s Sip & Stroll event series will take a summer break beginning in June, the organization announced May 14.
In a news release, DVI said the May 21 event will be the last before the series goes on hiatus in June, July and August. After May 21, the next Sip & Stroll is scheduled for Sept. 17.
“Downtown Vision plans to use this time to enhance the event series and develop new, memorable experiences for the community ahead of the fall season,” the release said.
DVI invites community members to share ideas and input on the event at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2WVDWCV.

Sip & Stroll is held the third Thursday of each month from September through May on the Southbank Riverwalk. It features live music, food trucks and carts, a picnic area and more, with alcoholic beverages permitted in branded cups available at bars along the Riverwalk.
PNC Bank is the presenting sponsor of the event.
DVI is a not-for-profit that supports Downtown through such means as marketing, events, research and its Downtown Ambassadors program, which performs such duties as cleaning sidewalks and providing directions to visitors.
DVI is funded primarily by a self-assessment of Downtown property owners.
