The Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) of Jacksonville held its first official meeting this week at The University Club. Though only about 60 women were expected, over 70 women and two men were present. “This is our first official meeting and we are so pleased at the turnout,” said Cathy Disbrow Courson of Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Inc. and vice president of CREW Jacksonville. “I got together with some women in Jacksonville a few years ago to start a CREW here and we got a lot of flak because we were told Jacksonville is a good old boy town, so it didn’t happen. Well, take a look at this room now.” Sarah Kelly, past president of CREW Orlando, attended the event to share networking tips and talk about the CREW Network, the national organization.
