The St. Augustine Regional Chapter has grown this first quarter like the spring flowers. Many thanks to Murrell Weissinger, our Vice President of Membership, for working so diligently on our Brick by Brick campaign. We increased our membership by about 15% and look forward to growing even more in the next few months. Our Education Committee, co-chairpersoned by Lorie Zemlo of SunTrust Bank and Susanne Murphy of REMAX 100 Realtors, has awarded their first scholarship for an LTG course. The next application deadline is July 1. If you want to take a professional development course sometime in 2002, be sure to get your application for tuition reimbursement in to them prior to July 1 for the 2nd quarter grant. Forms are available at each meeting. Remember, you must be approved for reimbursement prior to taking the course. This is your dues at work for you. What a bargain! The May meeting had Don Patrick, President of the St. Augustine/St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce as our speaker. He and his associate, Kari Hall, spoke of Leadership St. Johns and the Economic Development of St. Johns County at length. We thank him and Kari for their time and excellent program. Technology is the word for the June meeting. Tim Kinzler, State of Florida Technology Chairperson for the Women’s Council of REALTORS will be joining us on June 3rd. Tim will be talking about new and improved Palm programs, synchronizing, contact management with the Palm and other cool ways to have your information in the “palm of your hand”. How did we all do our jobs with paper in the past? The St. Augustine Regional Chapter meets on the first Monday of the month at the Fairways Grill - Ponce de Leon Resort on U.S. 1 North.
