North Florida Builders Sales Agent Gail Werneburg received a $500 Visa gift certificate prize as the company’s TechShield contest winner.
“Our contest provided a great incentive for our sales team to promote energy-efficient building technology options to our homebuyers,” Vice President Linda Mathis said. “North Florida Builders likes TechShield because it helps customers save on energy costs. The real winners of our contest are our homebuyers who chose TechShield, an energy-wise investment that will increase the value of their high quality homes.”
TechShield is a radiant barrier roof sheathing that can provide a cooler living space as well as the potential for savings on home cooling bills. The product is used in place of standard roof sheathing and helps keep a house cooler by reflecting the radiant heat from the sun.
Produced by LP Specialty Products, TechShield contains a thin laminated aluminum layer which reduces the amount of the sun’s radiant heat that enters the home’s attic. Even in the summer, TechShield can prevent up to 97 percent of the sun’s radiant heat from entering the home’s attic, making it as much as 30 degrees cooler.
The contest was open to all North Florida Builders sales agents who sold at least two homes with TechShield as an option from October 1 to January 31. North Florida Builders also awarded VISA gift certificates to its second and third place prize winners. The team of Anita Kelly and Marge VanDeBoe came in second while the team of Carri McGregor-Leveille and Doreen Judge took third place honors.
