With 95 boats registering for the recent event at Crystal Cove Marina in Palatka, the TECO-sponsored bass fishing tournament raised $23,000 for the Northeast Florida Builders Association’s Builders Care.

And, anglers went home happy, too. The first-place team, Sam Folds and Todd Mowery, took home a cash prize of $5,000 for their catch, 31.38 pounds total weight. This team also won an award for the second big fish, a 7.82 pounder.

Preston Clark and Lee Clark took second-place honors for their combined weight of 29.51 pounds. The prize was $2,000.

In third place with 27.06 pounds total weight were John Kremer and Joe Kremer. This team took home $1,000.

The largest fish award - 8.3 pounds - went to Allen Chambers and Chad Cason.

The total payout through the 14th place was $10,700.
